UD BiologyThe University of Dayton Department of Biology offers students of all backgrounds the opportunity to study a full range of life science disciplines, incorporating the very best collaborative and interdisciplinary approaches to lecture and laboratory and field research. There are currently approximately 480 combined undergraduates, graduates, and researchers now pursuing degrees and/or advancing their careers built upon the following key areas of study:

Our degree programs are focused on studying and solving real-world challenges in the areas of human, animal, and environmental health. We offer undergraduate programs leading to the bachelor of science with a major in biology, bachelor of science with a major in environmental biology and graduate programs leading to the master of science and doctor of philosophy.  We encourage you to join our faculty in their pursuit of exciting and diverse topics and research, and expand your own interest and appreciation of the myriad ways life can be explored and understood.
