A Downpayment on Your Future? You bet.

Apart from being an excellent place for learning, the University of Dayton Department of Biology also maintains a special focus on undergraduate scholarship, providing unique opportunities for students to undertake with our faculty world-class research. In fact, the majority of our undergraduates participate in undergraduate research, working side-by-side with graduate students and often producing publications or scientific presentations before graduation.  This not only deepens our students' appreciation of, and participation in, cutting-edge research in the life sciences, but it also makes these students highly competitive in the work-place and professional programs such as:

Students may also build upon their undergraduate scholarship and research experience by pursuing graduate studies in the various sub-disciplines of biology. But whatever their paths, University of Dayton biology students can go forth confidant of being able to apply their formal classroom knowledge to solving the real-world biological problems of today and tomorrow.
