University of Dayton Biology Department

Undergraduate Programs

 Pre-professional Education; Real-World Experience

Students in our Biology program typically come to U.D. with a natural affinity for the life sciences, but they also realize that in a dynamic economy such as ours, planning for a career is no longer a "last minute" thing. That's why our program is designed to balance traditional lecture and study opportunities with hands-on laboratory and field research experience.

With this in mind, and with the conceptual framework provided in traditional classroom setting paired with individual attention and training in the laboratory, our Bachelor of Science students are ready for placement in the workplace immediately upon graduation. This means options for our students, from any of dozens of career opportunities, to professional health programs, to graduate school, or to other programs of higher studies, depending on their interests.
