Our M.S. and Ph.D. graduate programs prepare students to become superb scientists equipped with skills to make them highly successful in their chosen careers. The Department of Biology offers exciting and challenging programs leading to Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy degrees. While the department features two major areas of specialization, biomedical sciences and ecological/environmental sciences, and while these areas are primarily based on the research interests of our faculty, students can tailor individual programs to their own interests and career plans through:
- Course selection
- Thesis or dissertation topic, and
- Participation in weekly seminars
A student's specific program can be devised after consultation with his or her advisor.
