University of Dayton Biology Department

At the University of Dayton, you'll have ample opportunity to work alongside faculty conducting world-class research. And, you'll enjoy studying and working within our brand-new Science Center, the centerpiece of a complex housing state-of-the-art teaching laboratories, multimedia and data port-ready classrooms, a microbiology/genetics laboratory, an anatomy and physiology laboratory, three-story atrium and common area, and a shared instrumentation facility.  Collaboration with the new nanoscale engineering, science & technology (NEST) laboratory provides additional opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students interested in bionanotechnology.  Investigating the fate of nanoparticles in cells and designing nanoparticles for medical and physiological applications are just a few exciting new aspects of this new science.
